Hoosier Canines uses four core labels in its Bernedoodle program: Mini, Standard, Ultra, and Multi-Gen. Mini and Standard describe expected size. Ultra and Multi-Gen describe breeding type or lineage. They should not be placed on one size ladder.

Size labels

Mini and Standard help families compare the expected adult scale of a litter. The estimate still comes from the actual parents and family line, and it should not be treated as one guaranteed final weight.

Breeding-type labels

Ultra refers to a Bernese-influenced pairing described by Hoosier Canines, while Multi-Gen refers to an established multigenerational Bernedoodle lineage. Neither label automatically determines adult size, coat, shedding, or personality.
