Watch the puppy’s response

Body language, recovery, appetite, play, and willingness to re-engage show whether an experience was manageable. When fear persists or intensifies, reduce difficulty and seek qualified professional support rather than flooding the puppy.

What this guide can and cannot tell you

Breed and mix tendencies can provide context, but the individual dog must be observed and supported. Genetics, early development, health, environment, and learning all contribute to the adult outcome.
